Crooner's Corner at Benson First Friday

  • Benson First Friday near Dundee Bank 61st & Maple Omaha, NE, 68104 United States (map)

Crooner’s Corner is an intimate evening of smooth vocals and soulful storytelling, celebrating the rich legacy of Black crooners who paved the way for generations of vocalists. Curated and headlined by Omaha-based artist Jus. B, this special event features standout performances from Corbin, Denzel, and Jordan—three powerhouse vocalists who made waves in the Omaha Community Playhouse’s production of Dreamgirls. Hosted by the dynamic LyriQ Lashay, the evening will be filled with live performances, artist interviews, and reflections on the past and future of crooning.

Join us on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 61st & Maple during Benson First Friday for the debut production of the Omaha Mobile Stage Fellowship Program. Crooner’s Corner uplifts Black musical excellence and brings the community together through the power of voice, storytelling, and timeless sound.

This event is made possible by CCVisions, Nebraska Arts Council, Nebraska Cultural Endowment, Jus.B Music, Omaha Mobile Stage, Douglas County Visitor Improvement Fund Grant Award, BFF Omaha, Keiria Marsha, and Park Omaha.
