Jessica Scheuerman: The Omaha Mobile Stage project started in the midst of the pandemic.

We really felt that this project was an opportunity to bring an arts-based response to a public health crisis. So how do you safely socialize? And one of the easiest ways to do that is outdoors.

We started talking to Jeff Day, who’s an architect, and Brendan Green-Walsh, who’s a technical director, and just really asking them if it was possible to build a stage on wheels so that we could bring live entertainment seamlessly into any public space.
